Health cards Canada

The management and delivery of health services is the responsibility of the provinces and territories and is governed by the provisions of the Canada Health Act. The provinces and territories fund these services in the form of fiscal transfers with support from the federal government.

Health services include insured primary health care (such as the services of doctors and other health professionals) and hospital care, which account for the majority of provincial and territorial health expenditures.

The provinces and territories also provide additional health benefits to some groups that are not covered by law, such as: B. Payment for prescription drugs. The amount and scope of reimbursement for additional services varies by jurisdiction.
